I was watching F1 recently, and they were discussing how more restrictive the radios are this year, and about further reduction of driver aids. Which makes me think, if they are concerned that the cars are getting too high tech, let’s just go back to mechanical clutches, simple steering wheels, etc. That’s a gorgeous shot.

Reminds me of a reed-based organ stop

The world needs more organs, every building should just have an organ.

“Why buy a new McLaren when you could get this 50-rank 3-manual used pipe organ for the same price!"

Less downforce, more mechanical grip, simpler mechanics, bigger engines

Exactly, or at least a Hammond B3.

Clinched the constructors championship while painted blue and white (MURICA!) because Ferrari was protesting some such nonsense and NART entered the cars instead.

And you could do all of this and still have the safety of the modern cars.

Also, this post as made me sad that Ferrari is not represented among the 1967 Grand Prix cars in Forza 6.

There are far too many steering wheel controls/displays.
